Mail and calendar for windows 10.Mail & Calendar

Several of my app missing from start menu application list after windows 10 fall update version , build For MSN News, if I try to launch it normally it would then open the store app, on downloads and updates page. Meaning, I need to go to launch the store app, then go to the store page of that particular app and click launch button just to launch the app.

That is the only way. As for mail and calendar app, I couldn't find a way to launch it. Can't open it from the store app, it doesn't even show new mail notification. My question is: how can I fix those app configuration? I want it to show on the start menu application list, so I can pin it and run it easily. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help.

Thanks for your feedback. Says that it is installed in my "All apps list" whatever that is. However I had looked in every folder on the start menu and it is not there. When I go to setting "mail" it shows my email account. When I goto to the virtual assistant it brings up a window that has the mail icon.

When I click it my W10 Mail opens. When I minimize it to the taskbar it is not there. I have exactly the same issue. Everything worked fine before the fall updated installed a few days ago. I have tried all of the suggestions above. But if I minimize and its gone and I am unable to create a direct shortcut to Mail and Calendar now.

Mail and Calendar apps are installed and can be opened indirectly by going through the People app and clicking that app's sidebar icons. The problem is that both Mail and Calendar icons are missing from the Start list and, therefore, can't be opened directly there and are not available to copy to the taskbar or desktop.

I uninstalled the apps using CCleaner and reinstalled without a fix. I also tried resetting through the Apps list. In my own situation, this exact issue resolved itself via the automatic Windows update process earlier this month. I wish I could give you the specifics, but while perusing the app store and viewing "downloads and updates" from the drop down menu located next to my account avatar, I noticed that Mail had been recently updated.

I checked my app list and was able to re pin both the Mail and Calendar apps to my Start menu and my taskbar. Functionality seems to be completely restored. I primarily utilize Outlook so I only relied on the built in apps to show the new mail count on my taskbar when no related programs were open.

I know it sounds like elementary steps, but once again try the Windows Update under settings and then check the app store for any further updates. I guess I'll just need to be patient for the update. Nothing available yet and no new modifications in the "downloads and update" list.

My final solution was to do a Restore to pre Fall Update, wait 10 days before reinstalling Fall Update, at which point, everything went through smoothly and my missing Apps were back in place.

Perhaps this might work for other people with missing Apps. Bob Reeve. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Option 3: you can try reinstalling the apps: Open Start, type: powershell Right click PowerShell Click Run as administrator Type the following command then hit Enter, exit PowerShell then restart, then try updating through the Store again.

Also check if the Store works in another user account. Your Antivirus might be interfering with the Store, try disabling it 'temporarily' to see if it launches.

Check Windows Update and install the latest updates. Sometimes Microsoft releases infrastructure fixes for the Store through Windows Update. How satisfied are you with this reply? If doesn't help, let us know and we can explore more options. In reply to Andre Da Costa's post on October 19, I have tried that method.

I also have tried resetting the app, and uninstalling then installing the app for MSN Sport and News, mail and calendar cannot be uninstalled. None of those worked.
